There's something more about this man this time, like he's gained a part of himself again. Whether that's Bucky or reforming a new man, he's not sure, but it's more than he expected when he found the man again. It brings him hope.

The flat tone is hard to read, but the fact he said it, something that could be interpreted as an useless statement, is good enough. He's not smiling, not yet, but there's something definitely more positive to his expression. Even when it turns perplexed by the next statement, taking a second to piece it together.

Yeah, Bucky would notice that he's bleeding more than he had before. "Got to make it a fair fight, can't have me too difficult to beat or it makes for a bad show."
