Meallan winces at the word and shakes his head emphatically. "I'm not Tranquil, no. Have you met them? They haven't any emotions or dreams of their own, it's strange and wrong. If I were that, you'd have noticed before now."

And he mightn't have even run from the fighting either. He didn't want to think about that, however, and quickly moved on.

"I want to know more about where we are and how we got here, don't you? Although having my magic back would be nice as well. I can't fight very well without it, and it seems we'll be doing a lot of fighting."
