Kieren got into position to climb down, but paused at the question. He hadn't thought of the fact that this guy might not have heard of the Rising, but it made sense. He hadn't heard it called the Zombie Apocalypse, after all.
"It's a euphemism we use over in England. You know, referring to when the dead rose. And by the way, there's no way that was a variant of rabies, even people use the word 'rabid' when referring to...the partially deceased in an untreated state."
And assuming it was would just perpetuate the myth that he...or at least, undead in general, could spread it through their bite. Which, of course, was utter nonsense.
