Welcome to Panem

You wake in a world that's not your own. White-armored soldiers see you to a helicarrier. You have been chosen to fight as a soldier for a world you've never even heard of against an uprising that will stop at nothing to cause devastating war. At least that's what you're told. If you refuse to fight, you're kept as a hostage for someone who WILL fight, if only to keep you safe.

The rebellion is powerful. They've managed to get people just like you-- offworlders-- to fight for them. Though of course both sides have prowess of their own among the Panem natives. They may or may not be as willing to fight as you are but it doesn't matter. The war is happening. The only thing anyone can do to survive it is bring it to an end. One way or another...

The Battle

If not for, or perhaps even despite the ruins, the scene would be picturesque. The sprawling forest grows around and over the abandoned and crumbling buildings. The greenery hides the sharp bits of debris, but it seems the plethora of animals familiar and very much not have all learned to make their way around, even in the light drizzle of rain. A good thing too what with the giant komodotiger muttations that have been unleashed, tearing through the brush and any living thing that gets in their way. Unless of course they've gotten the Capitol's special repulsion spray upon them.

The spray will only last an hour, which is all the time they've got anyway with the radioactive earth beneath their feet. Through the clever use of stealth, the Capitol has managed to send in their soldiers in time to ambush a Rebel hunting party right on their home turf. The rebels are armed with knives, bow and arrow, and other weapons save guns. The Capitol's soldiers on the other hand currently have nothing but guns. The rebels know this place better though, have net traps set throughout the forest, and have more people on their side here. The mockingjays are familiar with their signals and the Trackerjackers will sting anyone who disturbs their nest or so happens to be near. It could turn out to be an even fight. At least, barring any unfortunate circumstance like lightning catching some part of the forest alight or having to fight an old friend...

How To Play

This meme is open to anyone and everyone who would like to play. Current cast members, veteran and new, as well as anyone just wanting to drop in and have some fun!

Current cast members - you may tag into this battle in any way you choose. You can play on either side (Capitol or Rebellion) as a soldier or a non-soldier preforming some other task or simply being caught in the crossfire.

This meme will not count for in-game CR because it will not be considered as having actually happened, plot-wise.

Guests - Welcome to Panem. This is your first time here. You might have heard a bit about the Hunger Games but that's no longer your problem. War has broken out and the Capitol has enlisted YOU to stop it. Defeat the rebels. Hide in a corner and cry. It's up to you. But remember that the hellicarriers won't wait if you don't make it back in time.

***An important side note, as it is in-game, all powers are lessened/nullified to bring any character down to a vincible level. (I.E. Make more magical/super-powered characters easier to actually kill for a normal person). Rule of thumb: If it's a physical difference, the Capitol will not mutilate it out (wings, etc), but other wise it's lessoned or gone.
