Peggy lowered the fractured weapon to the counter. A gesture of peace if there could be such a thing here. She grimaced for a moment or two, bitterness and disgust curling in her stomach.
"I should think that's the point. Minimal weapons make for a greater push to fight one another. They want us to watch us die struggling against one another." Peggy pressed her lips into a thin line. "I suppose one could break a chair leg and whittle it down into a stake."
