Punchy, by contrast, is standing on his pedestal waving his arms around. "Everyone, everyone, come on, let's just hash this out, take a breather, we don't got to put each other under..."

His yelling is cut off by a yelp of pain as someone attacks him with a knife. His superhero training gives him the reflexes to avoid getting cut in a more serious place, but he does end up getting a slice in his ear.

He decides at that point that a real hero would get innocents out of there rather than fighting a losing battle. He sees a girl going for the food, and, figuring that people who want to fight would go for a weapon, runs to her and grabs her elbow. "This way, let's go!"
