Terezi Pyrope
Re: Terezi Pyrope
Re: Terezi Pyrope
That's kind of how Terezi feels about Meulin.
She's bright and fun, full of color and life. She's sweet and caring, and there's an honest goodness that Terezi can feel in her. There's a lot of things that remind her of the Disciple, but there are things that are purely Meulin, too. As their friendship progressed, Terezi thought that she had a handle on not getting emotionally attached to Meulin as a moirail. They could be friends, and things wouldn't be awkward. That didn't last very long.
In a way, Meulin is an even better fit for Terezi than Di was. She's closer to Terezi's age, and Terezi doesn't feel the need to fight back as much to assert her independence. She doesn't worry about how Meulin sees her or whether she'll be taken seriously, like she does with the older people in her life; which means that she opens up easier. On the other hand, Meulin is a human and--according to Terezi's beliefs--has no idea how moirallegiance really works.
Since the dream event, Terezi has become fiercely protective of Meulin. She never wants her to face that kind of hurt again for any reason. The breakdown at the restaurant and finding out that she was also a rebel only solidified that further. And with Sam and Initiate working on their moirallegiance, Terezi is slowly coming around to the idea that maybe she should tell Meulin some of this.
Though, when she finds out what happened while she was gone... Terezi is going to be heartbroken for her.

Though, if she did know, she'd probably be willing to help him work his feelings out. She gets that what was done isn't something that they wanted, and it's also not something that can be easily undone; but she wants to undo it as much as she possibly can.
