Of all Initiate's friends and even his enemies, there were two people who didn't hate him for existing. One was Terezi who unnerves him because she knows too much and reminds him of the girl who told him to get out of D4 forever and never come back. And then there's Sam, who DID seem to hate him initially but opted to give him a chance. And that meant a lot. I wish they could've gotten more time together cause Kurloz would've tried really hard to prove he could be something too. It got to him more than he would've admitted.

Alas, time happened and Sam's shown up as a rebel. He doesn't know Sam enough to feel betrayed, but there's definite disappointment. Guess none of that chance noise mattered afterall since Sam's trying to destroy his world. Shows what happens when trusting offworlder friends of Initiate.
