If you asked Ruffnut who Haruto was she would have no idea.

If you showed her a picture she would perk up "OH! The magic dragon soul guy! Yeah he's alright!"

After all he shared doughnuts with her which...she's not sure but they might just be her favorite snack in the capitol now. It's a tough call though because jello is so fun to watch.

He cemented her liking him by helping take care of her when she was sick in the arena, though her memories of that time are hazy at best. She recalls that he kept her from sitting in the dirt eating, and he was coaxing her along to drink and get out of the open. And really what else could he have done? She appreciates him for that.

I think she most appreciates that he doesn't expect anything from her. She can just be her usual dumb lazy self and he's still nice to her.

She hopes he survives the war, but if not she hopes she can figure out how to see his magic dragon thing before he dies.

Emily wants to know what her favourite tribute thinks of her!

If Ruffnut is honest with herself...Emily and the teacher in school are the only two capitolites she cares about anymore. And we all heard what happened to the teacher.

I would say Ruffnut probably has a stronger connection to Emily then just about anyone else in the district right now, possibly anyone else in the game. Sadly she is not the sort of girl who makes strong attachments it seems as she's shuffled from arena to arena making temporary allies and then moving on.

Having Emily around to be the softer hand to Jason's harsh approch also kept Ruffnut from acting out more. If Emily hadn't been around to treat Ruffnut like a human being the girl would probably have snapped and gotten avoxed for throwing a punch at the next Capitolite citizen to ask her how greatful she must be to have been rescued from her savage life before.

Dare I say it, Ruffnut will miss you most of all Emily. Try to survive the war.

Ruffnut used to think Jason might be alright. Sure he was tough and a jerk to everyone around him but Vikings are used to that sort of behavior.

But the less give he offers her the less patience she has, as evidenced by her storming out on him during that last little session of forced apologizing.

She feels a little bad for him because nobody likes him, not even he does. But at the same time he brought it on himself. If given the option she'd move him to a shack on the far side of the Capitol where he can raise cabbage just like the most cantankerous old jerk on Berk.

She will not miss you Jason, even if you did turn her on to some types of fashion and music she actually likes. Punk rock Ruffnut will live on even if she never speaks to him now that the war has hit.

It's taken Ruffnut far too long to meet someone who seems close to her level in both upbringing and interests. While Eowyn is smarter then Ruffnut is she also knows that she's probably not on Astrid's level of combat. This is a strange sort of territory for Ruffnut because other then Astrid there weren't any girls in her age group growing up back home. Just a handful of boys.

After their meeting in the arena I'm sure Ruffnut would keep an eye out for Eowyn and hope to hang out with her some more, maybe find out if they have any other similar hobbies and interests like explosions, rock music and bitching about the uptight snooty capitol folks they are forced to be polite to.

But well...war happened.
