Daryl Dixon is the kind of man I might hire to help me commit a crime if I was looking for that perfect blend of muscle and tactics with just enough simple minded wisdom to keep him from trying to betray me and steal our loot once the job was done.

He isn't a thug, though he likes to indulge the image. He's much smarter then he likes to appear and that works out for him in most difficult situations, however that isn't to imply he's a hillbilly genius. He won't be reading anything particularly challenging for fun or forcing himself to sit through any indie movies.

Practical intelligence is the best way I can think to describe it. Born out of necessity and trauma. As I understand it the world he came from was more or less ruined and dying and so he arrived here hardened and ready to fight for his life and the lives of others.

I dearly wish I'd had more time with him in the Capitol, perhaps I could have taught him some more skills for the arena not that he needed my help for the most part. At the very least I'll have to schedule some combat time with him in the gym to see how he holds up against my more erratic and agile style.

What intrigues me most about him is under all the grime and grit and those dark beady eyes is a heart that has retained some of his humanity. He's not about to start kicking small children and puppies despite how much pain he's already been through. And much to my surprise, he is delightfully gay! This amuses me given where he came from isn't known for being too open minded to such things...at least in my world.

Ultimately, I would give him a 8 out of 10. I would watch a show about him weekly.
