-You are now in the in-game Hunger Games fandom, and you are just overwhelmed with feels. You need to take this to the Internet. You have to fictionalize everything that the Games have not delivered - every doomed romance, every thrilling adventure, every behind-the-scenes drama!!

Write bizarre crack pairings and fandom's grossest misinterpretations; write Mary Sues and self-inserts; put in shitty author's notes and song lyrics; be the deepest, darkest part of the Hunger Games fandom. If you don't know a character? Whatever! Pretend you just read the first paragraph of the wiki and write a fic off that!

-You can do this one of two ways: Either post a prompt (i.e. "Signless/Guy Crood, romantic cannibalism; Enjolras, crying in the rain") or, if you're feeling inspired, just post a badfic straight up!

"It was just so awful," Katniss tells her cousin Gale. "Seeing him die in front of me. Seeing that deranged clown rip him apart. I love him so much, Gale."

She is back home in District Twelve. The Gamemakers let her go home with Prim to visit her custodian and her cousin. And now she is with Gale. Gale, because he is a good cousin, has built her a pile of coal and the two of them are sitting on top of it, holding each other.

"I love him so much," Katniss repeats because her heart-related feelings for Peeta Mellark are so strong that she has to repeat it. "I platonically hate the stupid shitty clown who murdered him, I wish I could kill him a thousand times, he's nothing but a MONSTER!"

"Shoooooosh," says Gale and he firmly paps her cheek.

Katniss stills her body. She closes her eyes.

"Thank you, Gale," she says. "I needed that."

"I know," he says. "What else are cousins for?"

She opens her eyes again. "I pity you," she says. "So much."

He knows. It's obvious how sincere she is, because Katniss is a very truthful person who could never lie, especially not to her cousin. His diamond warms to know how deeply she feels for him.

"I know," Gale says. "I pity you too."

I lost it at the pile of coal and never got it back.

Gale is a very good cousin, okay? But our author is not sure what else there is in Twelve to build piles from.
